Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or Petroleum Engineering with 6+ years of hands-on experience in core analysis, reservoir characterization, and laboratory quality management in the Oil & Gas sector.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized institution
Minimum 6 years relevant experience in core analysis, preferably in Oil & Gas sector
Strong expertise in RCA/SCAL laboratory workflows, QA/QC protocols, and equipment management
Proficiency in reservoir property characterization and geochemical data synthesis
Knowledge of QHSE standards, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and laboratory safety protocols
Excellent technical communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or Petroleum Engineering from recognized institution
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in core analysis, preferably in Oil & Gas sector
- Strong expertise in Routine Core Analysis (RCA) and Special Core Analysis (SCAL) workflows
- Proficiency in QA/QC protocols for in-house and outsourced laboratory work
- Experience with core processing equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of reservoir property characterization, capillary pressure, fluid saturation analysis
- Ability to upload, manage, and synthesize core data in company databases
- Familiarity with QHSE standards, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and laboratory safety
- Excellent technical writing, presentation, and cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and mentor junior staff
- Willingness to serve anywhere in Pakistan as per PPL requirement
Responsibilities
- Develop, communicate, and implement technical workflows for RCA/SCAL laboratory work ensuring quality and rigor
- Ensure high standards of QA/QC for in-house and outsourced core analysis results; coordinate with asset teams and external laboratories
- Maintain optimal functioning of core processing, RCA, and SCAL equipment; report failures and coordinate maintenance timely
- Upload newly generated, historic, and publicly available core data to company databases ensuring accuracy and accessibility
- Conduct Hotshot and RCA work using in-house laboratory equipment to support exploration and development decision-making
- Perform analysis and synthesis of complementary datasets to characterize reservoir properties for producing and non-producing assets
- Collaborate independently with Subsurface teams and management to guide project work and advise on technical issues
- Document and share significant technical learnings, insights, and experiences across workgroups for organizational knowledge management
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations, QHSE commitments, ISO 9001 standards, and laboratory policies/procedures
- Function independently, handle multiple concurrent projects, and present geochemical results to management and JV partners
- Mentor junior staff on hands-on skills including capillary pressure by porous plate, whole core analysis, routine core analysis, and fluid saturation techniques
- Support technical audits, peer reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory operations
